Darkish ruby-red colour with some depth and light purple
hues on the rim. The nose is elegantly
proportioned with good intensity of bright dark-red and black cherry fruit
entwined with dark herbs and notes of minerally reduction at the core. Medium-full bodied, the palate has softly
full and gently rich flavours of sweetly ripe black cherry and dark-red berry
fruit, along with subtle notes of dark herbs and a suggestion of minerals. The fruit is fresh and vibrant and supported
by balanced, fine-grained tannin extraction and integrated fresh acidity. The flavours carry to a light, black
cherry-fruited finish. This is a softly
full and gently rich Pinot Noir with black cherry and dark raspberry flavours
on a balanced, fine-textured palate. Match
with pork, lamb and beef dishes over the next 4-5 years. Clones 667, 777, 5, 115 and 6, hand-picked,
given a cold soak and fermented to 13.4% alc., the wine spending 21 days on
skins and aged 10 months in 15% new French oak.
