Jules Taylor ‘OTQ’ ‘Limited Release’ ‘Single Vineyard’ Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2017

Rose from New Zealand – Marlborough
Review Date - 05-Sep-2017

19/20

Bright pale-pink colour with slight purple hues, lighter edged. The nose I very oft and subtly packed, unfolding delicate aromas of raspberries and cherries, quince and soft red florals and a suggestion of lifted confectionary and esters, then mouthwatering mineral nuances. This has a remarkable balance of delicacy and fruit intensity. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is bright and vibrant with beautifully fragrant flavours of cherries, raspberries, quince and red floral, with very subtle lifted confectionary notes, and minerals. The palate has great poise, with refreshing acidity balanced by the fruit sweetness and very fine textures, providing a smooth flowing, gently thirst-quenching line. The wine carries to a delicate and pure finish with aromatic florals. This is a beautifully fragrant, subtly concentrated fine-textured, refreshing dry rosé with cherry, raspberry and quince fruit and fine florals. Serve as an aperitif, with antipasto, tapas and dim sum over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir from the ‘Branken Hill’ vineyard, Hawkesbury, hand-picked and given a couple of hours skin contact, and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 1 g/L RS. 19.0/20 Sep 2017 RRP $34.99
