Two Rivers ‘L’Ile de Beauté’ Marlborough Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand – Marlborough
Review Date - 03-Sep-2014

Pinot Noir fruit from a single site in the Southern Valleys, fermented to 12.5% alc. and 4.5 g/L RS. Bright, very pale candy-floss pink colour with a little purple hue on rim. The nose is very delicate and refreshing with attractively aromatic strawberry and cherry fruit, lifted with red florals and a suggestion of fruit bon-bons, unfolding some blossom nuances in the glass. Dry to taste and very elegant, quite light-weighted, mouth-wateringly fresh and delicately succulent fruit flavours of strawberries and cherries are lifted by floral and confectionary nuances. The mouthfeel is very refined with a sweet fruited core and linearity, enriched by soft acidity. The wine flows with smoothness and lovely tension and poise, leading to a very long, lingering finish with subtle cherry and strawberry confectionary nuances. This is a delicate rosé with subtly sweet strawberry and cherry fruit flavours and lovely poise and mouthwatering freshness. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 18.5/20 Sep 2014 RRP $25.00
