Bonneau du Martray Corton- Charlemagne
2010-2004
6.00 pm, Wednesday 22 May 2013
The Cask Room, Glengarry, 232 Thorndon Quay, Wellington
Cost: $125.00 per person,
This is a rare opportunity to experience a vertical tasting
of Domaine Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlegagne, one of the great white
burgundies.
The domaine has been run by
Jean-Charles le Bault de la Moriniere since 1994 and has maintained a superb
reputation since.
With around 11 ha of
vines in a prime location spread over the Pernand-Vegelesse and Aloxe-Corton,
the Corton-Charlemagne is a classical expression of Chardonnay with the
richness to match any of the grand crus of Puligny and Chassagne further south,
and the nerve and vibrancy found in grand cru Chablis.
Glengarry’s CEO, Liz Wheadon will be down
from Auckland to present the tasting and the wines from the new release 2010
back to 2004, seven Corton-Charlemagne in all.
It will be a tasting not to be missed.
