Central Otago Pinot
Noir Celebration 2015
29 - 31 January, 2015
Queenstown, Central Otago
Full Registration: $1380.00 per person incl. GST
Having attended the Central Otago Pinot Noir Celebration at
the start of this year, I can concur that it is one of the great wine events in
New Zealand. 2015 sees the 11th
anniversary, and it allows 200 wine enthusiasts to engage with around 40
Central Otago winemakers and each other. The two day programme is led by the winemakers
and international Pinot Noir specialists and is designed to showcase Central
Otago Pinot Noir in the context of good company, cuisine and the Central Otago
environment and scenery.
The programme starts with an optional Central Otago
Masterclass then a welcoming pre-dinner drinks featuring a selection of the
region’s white wines. The second day
features a ‘Grand Tasting’ with each of the Central Otago wineries involved
showing their Pinot Noirs. The third day
has a ‘Formal Tasting’ of rarer wines.
Throughout the programme, a series of lunches and dinners at winery and
Queenstown restaurants has been organised culminating in the ‘Grand Dinner’ and
‘Charity Auction’ on the final night.
There is an ‘Early Bird’ option of paying for registrations
before 30 November 2014, at $1196.00, and as mentioned above, the Central Otago
Masterclass on the first day is optional, costing $55.00. If you are intending to attend, do request
information on accommodation, as there is strong demand at the time of the
