‘Game of Rhones’ is a celebration of Rhone Style wines, made from Grenache, Shiraz (Syrah), Mourvedre, Viognier, Marsanne, and others, and in 2017 enters its fourth year. It is a very successful and popular wine exhibition created and organised by Bottle Shot Concepts, an innovative Australian wine event management company headed by Dan Sims. The company has also run consumer-targeted promotional events such as ‘Pinot Palooza’ and ‘Wine Day Out’.

Game of Rhones usually features around 100 wines available for tasting from around 40 different producers. While there is no connection to the HBO TV Series ‘Game of Thrones’ attendees are encouraged to dress up in costumes inspired by it. The wine expo is interactive and attendees will be asked to vote for their preferred variety, style and region.

Game of Rhones will run in Australia in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth (details on, and in New Zealand on 13 and 20 May in Auckland and Wellington respectively.
