The Hot Red Hawke’s Bay wine exhibition is one of the most
important events on the New Zealand wine lovers’ calendar. The Hawke’s Bay region produces arguably this
country’s finest Chardonnays, Viogniers, red Bordeaux varietal wines and Syrahs,
and Hot Red Hawke’s Bay offers the opportunity of tasting a broad range of
these wines and many more. This is the
12th year of this event and it will be especially popular as it will
feature the initial 2014 releases and the more serious 2013 vintage wines,
these being outstanding growing seasons.
For the first time, Hot Red Hawke’s Bay will offer 30 minute
Masterclass sessions in which a Hawke’s Bay wine authority will lead a
presentation looking at key aspects in depth.
The final list of exhibitors is still be drawn up, but there
are usually around 2 dozen wineries showing over 200 wines. I will publish the exhibitors when the names
come to hand.
Note: Trade personnel may attend at no charge, but must
register on the Eventfinder website (details above).
