36 Bottles 2013 Pinot Rosé and Riesling

22-Aug-2013
The 36 Bottles wine dream of Douglas Brett and Jane Young has taken a leap forward with the addition of two new wines to the range. With the 2013 vintage comes a Pinot Noir Rosé and Riesling release to supplement the Pinot Gris and Pinot Noirs that have been the base of their business. As with all of their wines, they’ve sourced quality fruit from trusted growers and had them made at the Maude winemaking facility by Sarah-Kate and Dan Dineen. The Riesling was made by the Dineens’ friend P. J. Charteris, a Kiwi who worked with them in the Hunter Valley, but is now specialising in Riesling and Pinot Noir from Central Otago. The quantities are limited with under 200 dozen of each made. In the works is a Chardonnay, currently maturing in barrel, and this will further the growth of 36 Bottles. Here, I review the new 2013 Pinot Rosé and Riesling. www.36bottles.co.nz
