36 Bottles Central Otago Riesling 2014

11-Sep-2015
Douglas Brett and Jane Young expanded the initial ‘36 Bottles’ releases of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir to include a Rosé, Chardonnay and Riesling with the 2013 vintage with the opportunity of sourcing excellent parcels of fruit and wine under their negotiant method of operating. They’ve maintained continuity with the Rosé and Riesling in 2014. The Riesling may be the personal favourite for Douglas, as he worked with winemaker P-J Charteris on the Bannockburn fruit, (which will no longer be available to him), Douglas personally deciding on the final blend. The result is a slightly sweeter wine than the previous vintage, but one that is equally high in quality, as judged by another gold medal at the New World Wine Awards this year. www.36bottles.co.nz
