The Haworth family have been operating Abbey Cellars in the Bridge Pa Triangle district of Hawke’s Bay since 2002. Their 13 ha vineyard produces a range of styles with the Bordeaux-styled wines as their flagships. Chardonnay figures in their portfolio which is made by Amelia Riwai, and here I review the new-release 2013 Barrel-Fermented Chardonnay.
