Acheron is the negociant label of Cone Ridge Wines, the business of Martinborough-based wine consultant Andrew Shackleton. With his experience and knowledge of the Wairarapa region as well as his extensive contacts, Andrew has sourced wine from the district for his brand. Acheron is the name of the ship captained by Lord John Stokes who chartered the coastal waters of New Zealand, as well as naming Mount Cook. The 2013 Pinot Noir is the first release.
