Bodegas Castano, Other Spanish Reds and a French Sparkling from Macvine

01-Sep-2015
The Bodegas Castano range of Yecla Spanish wines has had an extremely successful commercial track record which has been continued by Macvine International who took over the importation and distribution from original importer Ted Money of Argosy Wines in 2012. Bodegas Castano is a family business based in Yecla in the Murcia province in eastern Spain and specialises in the Monastrell variety sourcing fruit from 450 ha of vineyards. Macvine also look after the Spanish wines from Real Compania de Vinos, making V de la T Castilla, and Bodegas Aragonesas wines from Campo de Borja, giving them an extremely strong portfolio of value-packed Spanish wines. Here, I review the latest releases, from the 2014 and 2013 vintages, plus a French sparkling wine from Andre Delorme, based in Rully, in Burgundy. www.macvine.co.nz
