Bold Steps from Bouldevines

20-Nov-2010
The Bouldevines wines are beginning to step onto the market in a major fashion. After over 30 years of contract growing from their 31 hectare vineyard off Dog Point Road near Omaka in Marlborough, Philip and Janey Walsh have begun placing wines made from their fruit directly in front of consumers. Named after the main features of their vineyard – boulders and vines, the wines are made by Drew Ellis who trained in Australia. A range under the ‘Sprig' label offers accessible, value wines. www.bouldevineswine.co.nz
