Brown Brothers Limited Release Heathcote Shiraz 2010

19-Mar-2013

The Heathcote wine growing district, situated between the Goulburn Valley and Bendigo in Central Victoria is regarded as one of Australia’s premium regions for producing Shiraz. The deep red Cambrian soil has excellent water retentive properties and the cooling southerly winds result in Shiraz wines that are arguably more reminiscent of those of the northern Rhone than other regions. The history of winegrowing in Heathcote dates back only to the late 1960s. Brown Brothers’ vineyard there, acquired in 1999, is the source of fruit for some of the company’s finest red wines.
