Charles Wiffen Marlborough Riesling 2010

06-Apr-2012

The team involved in making Charles and Sandi Wiffen's Riesling wine has considerable clout and experience. The fruit is sourced primarily from old vines established by the Wiffens, who were pioneers in the Southern Valleys and Wither Hills district. Melissa Sutherland has tended the Wiffen vineyards with great care to provide superior fruit. The grapes are crushed at Lawson's Dry Hills by Rebecca Wiffen, winemaker there, and the wine made by James Rowan at West Brook in Waimauku, north-west Auckland. These people have seen great success with their wines in the past, and this 2010 Riesling continues the label's award-winning way with a Pule Elite Gold medal at the 2011 ANZWA. www.charleswiffenwines.co.nz
