Clark Estate Upper Awatere Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2014

22-Oct-2014
The small, family-run Clark Estate has established a reputation for smart aromatic Marlborough wines in recent vintages. The vineyard, in the Upper Awatere Valley, has 8 ha of Sauvignon Blanc, 2.4 ha of Pinot Gris and 0.8 ha of Riesling, and Simon Clark, viticulturist and winemaker has crafted different bottlings of blocks and styles showing the diversity possible from just three varieties. The Clark family, coming from Boreham Wood in Southern Hertfordshire, has a strong U.K. market, but the wines have a growing domestic presence as well. www.clarkestate.com
