Folding Hill ‘Orchard Block’ Pinot Noir 2009

02-Dec-2011
Folding Hill was established in 2001 with the purpose of producing premium Pinot Noir. A consortium with the Kerruish family planted a 4 ha Bendigo site with 5, 6, Abel and a mix of Dijon clones. It is a hands-on and natural operation, based on low yields, the winemaking handled by Fred Reinds and Tim Kerruish. Earlier this year in March, I reviewed the ‘regular' Folding Hill Pinot Noir 2009 (click here to see the review); this wine going on to win gold at the 2011 ANZWA. This ‘Orchard Block' bottling is a special trial wine. www.foldinghill.co.nz
