Forrest Wines – Featuring Marlborough

08-Jan-2014
The work of John and Brigid Forrest with their Forrest Wines label is to be admired. Since they established their winegrowing business near Renwick in Marlborough in 1988, they have created a significantly sized operation with an amazing range of wines that covers all the bases. All of the wines under ‘Forrest’, the ‘Valleys’, ‘Doctors’’ TattyBogler’ and ‘Newton-Forrest’ are truly premium in quality and regular sit among the best of their often innovative styles and categories. And just as important, the wines are fairly priced, usually offering real value. The Forrest tirelessly promote and feature their home base of Marlborough, and the Forrest label is totally reliable and representative of the region with some real stars. Here, I review a selection of new and current releases. www.forrest.co.nz
