Framingham Marlborough Chardonnay 2013

25-Mar-2014
Framingham is best known among wine enthusiasts for their range of Riesling wines. Winemaker Andrew Hedley is regarded as one of this country’s best producers, making extremely successful expressions from funky and dry to classical off-dry and medium, as well as botrytised dessert styles. However it is Sauvignon Blanc that has the highest volume, with the other aromatic whites receiving good profile. Chardonnay is arguably the forgotten varietal when thinking of Framingham, but one that Andrew and his team make successfully. Here, I review the 2013 Framingham Chardonnay, a wine available exclusively through their New Zealand distributor. www.framingham.co.nz
