Frescobaldi Tuscan Red Wine Selection

04-Apr-2014
Frescobaldi is one of Tuscany’s and the world’s great winemaking families with a history of 700 years and 30 generations of involvement. There are five estates all operated independently, covering over 5,000 ha of property and over 1,000 ha of vineyard, these being Castello di Nipozzano, Castello di Pomino, Tenuta di Castekgiocondo, Tenura di Castiglioni and Tenta dell’Ammiraglia. The red wines, especially Chianti, are arguably the most important for the company, taking price of place in representing the heart of Tuscany. Here, I review three of the new releases. www.frescobaldi.it The wines are distributed by EuroVintage. www.eurovintage.co.nz
