Frizzell’s Take On Burgundy

12-Apr-2013

The range of wines from Dick Frizzell encompasses the classics of Hawke’s Bay and New Zealand. They are unashamedly populist for the Kiwi drinker who enjoys honest and true flavours that the land delivers. They are also thoroughly accessible and deliver without complication. I review the new release Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2012 and Martinborough Pinot Noir 2011, made by winemaker Rod McDonald in what could be considered Dick Frizzell’s take on the white and red varieties and styles of Burgundy – but with a local twist. www.frizzellwines.co.nz
