His experience and expertise show in his wines, his Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs are full in style, by using more juice lees contact before racking and fermenting, both have a lovely texture and finesse. Here I review the two.

The nose is fresh with exotic fruit aromas of pineapple, passionfruit, gooseberry, Granny Smith apple; melded with freshly cut green herbs. Crisp and light-bodied, dry to taste, flavours of an amalgam of exotic fruit passionfruit, gooseberry, pineapple, green apple, green mango are authentic and with concentration. The acid line is soft and mouthwatering, flows with good energy along with a light phenolic grip, a hint of white pepper on the finish. Forefathers Wax Eye Sauvignon Blanc 2019, MarlboroughSauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - MarlboroughReview Date : 24-Jul-2020Bright, light straw yellow with a light golden-green hue, even throughout. The nose is elegantly soft, with fragrances of white florals, green apple, lime, gooseberries, fresh green herbs and flint minerals. Light-bodied with textural weight, dry to taste, flavours of lime, gooseberries and green apple enlivened by fragrances of white florals, herbs and flint. The aromas are focused and bright; with soft and taut acidity, flows smoothly with green apple skin like phenolic texture. Flinty minerals and green herbs added interest, lingers to a refreshing, sustained finish. This is an elegant Sauvignon Blanc with authentic varietal characters, taut acidity on a flinty phenolic texture line.
