Greystone Waipara Riesling 2013

11-May-2015
There is an affinity for the Riesling variety with the Waipara Valley vignoble. Wine enthusiasts as has wine growers and winemakers recognise the exotic, aromatic fruit character that is so often prevalent in the best wines. Jasmine florals and tangerine citrus aromas and flavours can make Waipara Valley Riesling particularly distinctive and appealing. Greystone Wines and winemaker Dom Maxwell have been very successful with Riesling for a decade now, and with a range of styles ranging from dry to very sweet, and in vintages from cool and wet to warm and dry. The wines can be seen as the aromatic heart of Greystone. Here, I review the 2013 Greystone Riesling. www.greystonewines.co.nz
