Haberdasher Marlborough Pinot Gris 2012

18-Oct-2012

The Haberdasher label has been designed as a brand for New Zealand Vineyard Estates, one of this country's larger producers, for sale through on-line channels and alternative distribution channels without connection or compromise to the maker's main labels. This allows for the production of wines of different styles and price points, thus expanding the overall presence in the market, and for retailers with exclusivity to sell without discounting and losing margin. The vital point is that the wines must deliver value and consumer satisfaction. I've already reviewed the Haberdasher Central Otago Pinot Noir 2011 which delivered pretty fruit with good mouthfeel at more than a fair price. (Click here to see my review.) Here is my review of the Pinot Gris 2012. The wine is available at www.blackmarket.co.nz
