Hopscotch Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

21-Jan-2015
Last year Charles and Sandi Wiffen introduced the secondary ‘Hopscotch’ tier to their Charles Wiffen wine range to offer a little more accessibility as well as having wines that could be used in other markets. The name refers to a popular children’s skipping game and to carefree and fun times. The fruit for the wines comes from the family vineyards in the Lower Wairau and Southern Valleys and the wines made by the team at West Brook winery in West Auckland. The first wine was a Pinot Noir, and now a Sauvignon Blanc has been added, the latter wine I review here. www.charleswiffenwines.co.nz
