Marques de Riscal ‘Proximo’ Rioja 2013 and Ursula Valencia 2012

02-Oct-2015
Established in 2009, St Vincent’s Cave is the Spanish wine importation and distribution company of Sophie Cotter who worked 8 years in the wine trade in Barcelona. Her experience and contacts have enabled her to select interesting and eclectic wines that find favour in the New Zealand market. The company is named after St Vincent, the patron saint of viticulturists and winemakers who was born in Spain in the late 3rd Century, and the underground cellars in caves in northern Spain and Catalonia. Here, I review two reds, one a Rioja and the other from Valencia. www.stvincentscave.com
