Matsu ‘El Recio’ Toro 2012 and Hacienda Lopez Rioja 2011 Crianza and Reserva 2008

20-May-2015
Many independent wine retailers are sourcing their own imports to supplement those brought into the country by distributors to complement the range of domestic wines they carry. The benefits include creating a distinctive and individual range, more favourable margins, and importantly wines that suit the clientele frequenting the store. Wino’s in Blenheim brought in a Bodega Matsu Toro and Bodega Classica ‘Hacienda Lopez’ Rioja earlier this year (click here to see my reviews). Clearly the wines have been popular and successful, as owner Clive Macfarlane and Dave Clouston have added other variants of the initial imports. I review these new wines here. www.winos.co.nz
