Millton ‘Estate’ Gisborne Chardonnay 2013

13-Mar-2014
The accolades have been building for James and Annie Millton as they celebrate the release of their 30th vintage wines in the 2013 offerings. It’s a remarkable achievement in any respect, but it has earned them the title of ‘New Zealand Wine Personality of the Year’ by this country’s industry. The Milltons established the first biodynamic vineyard in the Southern Hemisphere, and today lead the country in the consistent quality, breadth and depth of the wines which are certified BioGro organic and Demeter biodynamic. 2013 is fittingly an outstanding vintage in Gisborne, so the flow of wines will highlight where James and Anne have taken The Millton Vineyard and where they now stand. To mark the 30 years, James and Annie have crafted a special ‘Estate’ Chardonnay for their New Zealand distributors to work with. The wine carries a ‘retro’ label that harks back to original artwork that was carried by the Millton’s first releases. Here is my review of the wine. www.millton.co.nz
