Mission 2014, 2013 and 2012 ‘Reserve’ Wine Range

12-Aug-2015
As with any significant wine company, Mission Estate has evolved various tiers to express quality, varietal expression and regionality. The ‘Reserve’ range of wines is Mission’s premium tier to showcase these traits. Mission Estate owns three vineyard sites within Hawke’s Bay, these being the ‘Greenmeadows’ Taradale, and ‘Mere Road’ and ‘Gimblett Road’ sites in the Gimblett Gavels. The company also owns a 100 ha vineyard on Cable Station Road, in the Blind River sub-region of the Awatere Valley. This fruit is supplemented with grapes from long-term contracted Hawke’s Bay growers in Ohiti Road, Moteo Pa, Middle Road and Ngatarawa Triangle. Fruit is also sourced from growers in other regions, such as the Wairarapa and in Central Otago. Here, I review the current range of ‘Reserve’ wines which employs fruit from these various sources. www.missionestate.co.nz
