Naked Vine Marlborough Pinot Noir 2014

14-Oct-2015
The aim of the Naked Wine Company headed by Gerrit van Asch is to offer good quality and flavoursome organic wine at a reasonable price. The fruit comes from the 70 ha ‘Patriarch’ vineyard in the Upper Wairau Valley. At present, the 33ha situated on the upper terrace are certified BioGro organic. Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir are produced from this section. The lower terrace is planted primarily to Sauvignon Blanc, with small holdings of Chardonnay and Gruner Veltliner, and the company is working towards this being certified as well. The wines are made by John Jackson. Here, I review the 2014 Naked Vine Pinot Noir. www.wineofnewzealand.co.nz
