Pencarrow Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

18-Dec-2013
The ‘Pencarrow’ label is one of the most successful of secondary brands in the Wairarapa, and does a sterling job of providing wine consumers the taste of Palliser Estate’s Martinborough style at an affordable price. As with most second tier brands, the wines are usually more up-front and accessible to drink. The benefit of drinkability and balance has seen the wines perform more favourably in tastings, competitions and judgings. The quantity made is usually higher and this enables the wine to reach further in the market. Here, I review the new 2013 Pencarrow Sauvignon Blanc, demonstrating these traits. Approx. 10,000 cases are made annually. www.palliser.co.nz
