Quarter Acre Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2012

04-Apr-2014
The quarter acre section is the dream for the quintessential Kiwi family, and in a similar vein, the ‘Quarter Acre’ label is winemaker Rod McDonald’s dream of having his own premium wine brand come true. I reviewed his inaugural releases just over a year ago, and all of the wines from the 2011 vintage, a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot blend and Syrah earned very high marks (click here to see). The standard has been maintained with the 2012 Sauvignon Blanc, and now I review the new 2012 Chardonnay, the vintage providing more elegant wines. www.rmwines.co.nz
