Saint Clair’s Innovative 2011 Spring Releases

25-Nov-2011
The range and breadth of Saint Clair's wines is near mind-boggling, with all styles and prices to satisfy everybody. Quality is no doubt always at the forefront of winemakers Matt Thomson and Hamish Clark's minds, as every release delivers satisfaction. In time for the warmer summer months, Saint Clair has released two innovative wines in their more affordable tiers. A Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc, this style all the rage among new wine drinkers, in the ‘Vicar's Choice' range; and a Gruner Veltliner, the newly introduced Austrian varietal, under the ‘Premium Varietal' label. This is one of two Gruners from Saint Clair, the other under the ‘Pioneer Block' brand, so to have one accessibly priced is very commendable. Here are my reviews. www.saintclair.co.nz
