Spanish and Chilean Wine from Mineral

28-Feb-2014
Mineral is a boutique national wine distributor with a tight range of New Zealand wines as well as a small selection of key imports. Principals James Barber and Stephanie Reade have their own imports as well as some from Peter Rumble, the well-known Wellington wine merchant. Here, I review a selection of the company’s own wines brought into the country for distribution. There are two Codorniu sparklings from one of the giants of Cava production, two Rioja reds from Bodegas Bilbainas based in Haro, and two modern Chilean reds from Bisquertt, a pioneer in the Marchihue district of the Colchagua Valley. www.mineralwine.co.nz
