TattyBogler – Forrest Wines From Otago

18-May-2012

Making high quality wines from Hawke's Bay, Marlborough and Otago requires understanding the diverse climates, soils and sites of those regions and the ability to work sympathetically with the fruit to ensure the aromas and flavours of the land are faithfully represented in the wines. John Forrest has proven he has the understanding, ability and experience to do so over many vintages. The TattyBogler wines are the produce of Forrest's vineyards in the Bannockburn district of Central Otago and the Waitaki Valley in north Otago. The Bannockburn vineyard was developed 10 years ago, the Waitaki more recently. The TattyBogler wines combine the produce of both vineyards and express Otago character. ‘TattyBogler' refers to the scarecrows of the Scottish pioneers in Otago. Here are my reviews of three new TattyBogler wines. www.forrest.co.nz
