The Crusher 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah

01-Dec-2014
The Procure Liquor distribution company is continuing to grow the breadth and range of wines it carries in its portfolio. Already with a tight but excellent collection of New Zealand agencies, Jonty Hamer and Misha Taylor have successfully added high quality, consumer friendly Australian and European wines to their offerings. The company has taken a further step by introducing a selection of Californian wines. It is a welcome move as the number of North American wines available in New Zealand is very limited. I recently reviewed a selection of McManis Californian wines (click here to see). Two wines from ‘The Crusher’ have been added to the portfolio. ‘The Crusher’ is a partnership between the Sebastiani family and the grape-growing Wilson family in Clarksburg, just 12 km east of Napa. The red wines are made by Greg Kitchens. www.thecrusherwines.com  Here I review the 2012 ‘Wilson Vineyard’ Cabernet Sauvignon and ‘Grower’s Selection' Petit Sirah. www.procureliquor.co.nz
