Two Rivers 2011 Chardonnay & Pinot Noir

18-Jan-2013

The wines made by Dave Clouston are becoming increasingly prominent. With around 30 vintages around the world under his belt, his experience and sensitive approach to winemaking is lending him considerable credibility as a Marlborough winemaker of note. In 2011, he was selected as a finalist for Australasian Winemaker of the Year. His approachable ‘Black Cottage' wines offer very good value, and his contract winemaking is behind up-and-coming quality labels such as ‘SOHO' and ‘Starborough', the wines performing exceptionally well. The ‘Two Rivers' brand is his top and own label that he hangs his hat on, and here he shows his sophistication and serious side. I've reviewed his 2012 ‘Convergence' Sauvignon Blanc and ‘Juliet' Riesling as 5-star wines (click here to read), and now I review his 2011 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. www.tworivers.co.nz
