Two Rivers 2012 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir

24-Oct-2013
Recent wine show results have proven that Marlborough winemaker Dave Clouston is doing it right. The 2013 Two Rivers ‘Convergence’ Sauvignon Blanc and ‘L’Ile de Beauté’ Rosé wines have both taken gold medals at the recent International Aromatic Wine Competition and N.Z. International Wine Show respectively. I’ve rated them highly too (click here for my review of the Sauvignon Blanc and here for my review of the Rosé), so it is with a good sense of anticipation that I review his on-going releases, this time the new 2012 ‘Clos des Pierres’ Chardonnay and ‘Awatere Selection’ Pinot Noir. Dave has built plenty of interest into these wines, which deserve some bottle age for their rich characters to emerge. www.tworivers.co.nz
