Two Rivers 2014 Pinot Gris and L’Ile de Beauté Rosé

01-Sep-2014
Dave Clouston’s ‘Two Rivers’ label captures the essence of Marlborough, the two rivers referring to the Wairau and Awatere, the aqueous lifeblood of the region and one of the determining geographical features responsible for the quality of the wine. Being a Marlburnian, Dave is very familiar with the fruit from the two areas and recognises when single vineyard expressions are worthy of bottling and also how blending can result in a complete wine. Here are the latest 2014 vintage releases of his Pinot Gris and ‘L’Ile de Beauté Rosé showing this ability. The Rosé is modelled on the Mediterranean style he discovered and grew to enjoy, while making wine in Corsica. Both wines show elegance with plenty of fruit depth. www.tworivers.co.nz
