Two Rivers ‘Convergence’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

06-Oct-2014
The ‘Two Rivers’ and ‘Black Cottage’ wines of Dave Clouston have made a strong impact on the market in a few short years. His understanding of the Marlborough vignoble, along with his care and thoughtful winemaking has resulted in a bevy of first-rate wines which are being recognised on the show circuit as well as by the drinking public. Recently, I reviewed his biggest selling and thus largest volume wine, the Black Cottage Sauvignon Blanc 2014 (click here to see), but his flagship wine would have to be the Two Rivers ‘Convergence’ Sauvignon Blanc. It is an excellent representation of the best of Marlborough. Previous vintages have won gold medals, and already this 2014 release has done so too. Dave notes that 2014 was a challenging vintage, but is very pleased with the resulting wines. I have found that it is a wine that tends to show even better with time in the bottle. Here is my review of it. www.tworivers.co.nz
