Two Tails Marlborough 2014 Sauvignon and Pinot Gris, and 2013 Pinot Noir

03-Sep-2014
The ‘Two Tails’ brand of Marlborough wine industry stalwarts Sarah Inkersell and Russell Hooper has made a major leap forward. The brand is named after winemaker Sarah and her marketing husband Russell’s love of native Fantail birds, of which a specially commissioned painting of two birds holds pride of place in their home. The first vintage of Two Tails was in 2004, and the Sauvignon Blanc wines have found a keen international market, and seen a growing domestic presence. With encouragement from their Australian distributors, Sarah and Russell have expanded the range to include a Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, these two wines exclusive at present to that country. Here, I review the new release wines. www.twotails.co.nz
