Umani Ronchi – Verdicchio and Rosso Conero Star

14-Apr-2014
With a history going back to 1957, the Bianchi-Bernetti family have grown Umani Rochi to become one of the most highly respected producers of the Marches Italian classics Verdicchio and Rosso Conero. The company has its winery base at Osimo and owns approx. 200 ha of vineyards having expanded into the Abruzzo region, purchasing 30 ha for the production of Montepulciano. The company is forward thinking and works with the international varieties of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with which they have been successful. Here I review a selection of the new releases of the traditional wines. www.umanironcho.com The wines are distributed in New Zealand by Vintners N.Z. Ltd. www.vintners.co.nz
