Wild Rock’s Rollicking Reds

16-Apr-2011
Although marketed as a distinctly separate brand, Wild Rock is connected to Craggy Range as the ‘second tier' label by wine consumers, knowing that the wines share the same vineyard source. Of course the vinification is handled differently to make more fruit-forward, easily accessible wines of good value. Interestingly, the Wild Rock wines have garnered more than their fair share of wine show gold medals, indicating their quality and indeed their balance, making them exceptionally consumer friendly. Two 2009 reds, well-loved labels in previous vintages, are reviewed here. www.wildrockwine.co.nz
