Wycroft ‘Forbury’ Wairarapa Pinot Noir 2010

25-Aug-2011
As one of the tiniest producers in New Zealand, Wycroft has had remarkable success. Lawrie and Sally Bryant make around 250 dozen Pinot Noir annually, and their 2009 Wycroft Pinot Noir was one of 18 gold medals awarded to Pinot  Noir at the 28th London International Wine Challenge. Wycroft has entered their wine into international shows only once before, the 2006 vintage at the Decanter Wine Awards and took gold there too. 2010 was a very small vintage for Wycroft, and the Bryants sought out quality fruit from their neighbours to make their more accessible ‘Forbury' label only, making it a wine worth investigating. www.wycroft.co.nz
