Flying Sheep Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2011

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 02-Nov-2012
Bright, full, light, golden-hued straw-yellow colour. The bouquet is open and broad with ripe stonefruit, nuts and subtle oak aromas, revealing flinty hints, all harmoniously interwoven. Medium-full bodied, light and restrained flavours of white stonefruits, citrus fruits and melons show on a soft-textured and mellow palate. The acidity is low with some noticeable alcohol generosity, resulting in good depth, vinous presence, and a creamy, integrated mouthfeel. The flavours flow smoothly unfolding nuances of nuts and stonefruits.on the finish. This is an attractively soft and harmonious, gently-flavoured Chardonnay to match with seafood and poultry over the next 3 years. Fermented in tank and seasoned oak to 14.39% alc., the wine aged on lees. 250 cases made. 16.5+/20 Nov 2012 RRP $19.99
