Frizzell ‘Hey Jude’ Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 06-Nov-2015
Moderately deep, pale cherry-pink colour, lighter on rim with some purple hues. This has a soft and gently full nose of strawberries with rose-like florals and raspberry confectionary, revealing a little savoury sherbet richness in the glass. Dry to taste and light bodied, the palate has light fruit flavours of cranberries and quince with suggestions of red florals and herbs. The palate has vinosity, with a light phenolic, drying line and fresh acidity lending liveliness to the mouthfeel. This is gently thirst-quenching, and the wine leads to a light finish with raspberry confectionary nuances. Up-front on bouquet, this is a light-fruited, gentle rosé with cranberry and raspberry notes. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 18 months. 100% Hawke’s Bay Pinot Noir fruit given 12 hours skin contact and cool-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 2.0 g/L RS. 15.5+/20 Nov 2015 RRP $19.99
