Incognito Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2009

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 27-Sep-2011
Bright straw-yellow colour with some golden hues, pale on edge. Ripe citrus fruits and nectarine aromas combine with nutty, oxidative and flinty complexities forming a soft, full bouquet. Noticeably dry and medium-full bodied, this has concentrated citrus and stonefruit flavours with balanced and integrating oak nuttiness. Moderate acidity provides a rounded frame for the palate, and with soft textures, the wine has density and richness along with a warming, mellow expression. Drinking well now, match with poultry and pork over the next 3-4+ years. 100% Hawke's Bay fruit, half barrel-fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine spending 12 months in oak with 100% MLF and lees contact. 17.5-/20 Sep 2011 RRP $17.99
