Ngatarawa ‘Stables Reserve’ Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 05-May-2016
Bright, even, light straw-yellow colour. The nose is fresh and aromatic with lifted cooler-spectrum notes of cut grass and nettles entwined with lantana, along with soft, chalky, mouthwatering mineral hints. This has good depth and intensity. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate features fresh and bright , sweet fruit flavours of cut grass and nettles with tropical fruit and lantana detail. The mouthfeel is refreshing and lively with zesty acidity and the wine follows a light-textured line. Nuances of herbs, limes and capsicums emerge as the wine carries to a dry, lingering finish of herbs and nettles. This is a crisp, bright, sweet-fruited Sauvignon Blanc with cooler-spectrum grassy flavours alongside tropical fruit notes. Serve with salads, vegetables and seafood over the next 2 years. Sauvignon Blanc fruit from Bridge Pa Triangle, Crownthorpe and Dartmoor blended with 9% Semillon, fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and <1.0 g/L RS, the wine undergoing batonnage. 16.5+/20 May 2016 RRP $19.00
