Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues. This has a very tightly concentrated nose, slender in proportion, but with good depth and intensity, showing white florals and stonefruits, citrus fruits, herbs and light reductive mineral elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegant and finely concentrated with tightly bound, light flavours of white florals and stonefruits expressed with clarity, purity and precision. The wine flows a long a very fine-textured line with poised, thirst-quenching acidity, unfolding notes of exotic florals and minerally reduction. This has excellent linearity and the wine has a long finish with stonefruit, herb and mineral elements. This is an elegant and finely concentrated, crisply dry Albarino with white stonefruit and minerally reductive notes. Serve with seafood and Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine over the next 3+ years. Fruit from Doug and Delwyn Bell’s vineyard, from vines planted in 2009, hand-picked, WBP with two different indigenous yeast tank ferments, the wines given one and two months unsulphured lees contact respectively.
